Capcom's latest re-release of a re-release of a re-release might not necessarily be the kind of Switch support that fans have been clamering for, but it might just end up filling a hole that was left behind after Capcom's perenial effort for the Wii back in the day.
In a new press release, Capcom have noted that the upcoming ports of Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 to the Switch, now titled the Resident Evil Revelations Collection, will include optional support for Joycon motion controls. Just like with Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition, the right Joycon will control your aiming, while an upwards shake will reload and a quick shake while not holding your weapon will allow you to swing your knife. Shaking the left Joycon will also allow you to escape those pesky monsters that grab you.
The collection also supports HD Rumble, as well as all previously released DLC in the base package as standard. Raid Mode in both games also supports online play, while Revelations 2 supports local play for its Raid Mode by passing a single Joy-con to a friend for splitscreen action. No word on whether or not local multiplayer is supported for Revelations 1 just yet, but we'll let you know when we know.
The Resident Evil Revelations Collection launches in Europe on November 28th. Does the offer of Wii style motion controls spark your interest? Why not let us know in our forums?
