We've known for some time that a Super Mario Galaxy stage would be included in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. title, and many believed it meant Rosalina would be entering the ring as well.

Today, Nintendo confirmed what many believed with a brand new 'Challenger Approaching' video that shows that Rosalina and her faithful Luma will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. when it is launched on the Wii U and 3DS next year.

The characters seem to be able to attack together and independently, working like the Ice Climbers have done in the past.
