Sources say that Beautiful Katamari is getting dropped on the PS3, and made for the Wii...
Sources are telling IGN that Beautiful Katamari will be dropped for the PS3 and made for the Wii instead.
The X-Box 360 version will go ahead as planned, but the (IGN say reliable) sources say that due to console sales, and the trouble the studio ran into with porting the game to the PS3, that Namco Bandai have cancelled the PS3 version of the game. It seems that Namco Bandai will shift their resources for the PS3 version to make a Wii version of the game.
Beautiful Katamari is the fourth in the Katamari series, and is a puzzle-action game. In the games, you control a Katamari similar to a tank (In the 360 version you push both analogue sticks forward to go forward, the left one forward to turn right, etc), so it's plausible that the Wii version will use the motion sensors in the Remote and Nunchuck to replace the analogue sticks. You roll over objects to increase your size (as the objects stick to you), which enables you to pick up larger objects. The aim of each level is to the katamari as large as possible, but other objectives also appear, too.
