Koji Igarashi hints that he is working on a Castlevania title for the 3DS but unfortunately doesn't confirm it.

At this year's E3 Nintendo showed off the 3DS and it seems gamers were not the only ones interested. Koji Igarashi, who has served as producer and director on a number of Castlevania titles, was impressed with the handheld and is currently working on projects for it.

When Paul Gale Network asked him if one of these projects was a Castlevania title he coyly responded by noting how successful the franchise has been on the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS.

The website also notes that they received suggestions that artists are already working on the title and the studio has been discussing the best way to use the 3D camera for the series. Of course nothing is officially confirmed yet but as Koji Igarashi noted the series has been popular in the past.
