Highstreet store may be getting Wii Countdown clocks sooner than you might think...

Update!New information says that the clocks will be installed by the end of the week...but will not be turned on until after the Games Convention in Leipzig

A rumour has surfaced among various other sites on the worldwideweb that Virgin Megastores, as well as other highstreet stores, will be getting countdown clocks installed in their stores. As far as we know, this only applies to European stores.

What will these clocks be counting down to? Why, the launch of the Wii, of course! Reports have also suggested that the clocks may even be implemented today.

However, it is not known whether these clocks will be active, or if these stores will keep the clocks turned off until a release date for the hugely anticipated console is confirmed by Nintendo.
