Rumour: Dead Space Heading to Wii U?

Is the Dead Space franchise heading to Nintendo's next console?

A job listing over at Visceral Games Montreal has confirmed that a new title in EA's Dead Space franchise is being made for an unannounced platform, raising the question of whether the horror series might be heading for Wii U.

The listing, which can be seen over at Creative Heads, is for a senior environment artist, for work with 3D art and texturing. The new project will be heading to PS3, Xbox 360 and a third, "unannounced" platform.

Visceral Games Montreal is not the primary developer of the Dead Space games, but the studio does provide development support for the franchise alongside the Redwood-based team.

The only time Dead Space has flirted with a Nintendo system was the warmly-received 2009 on-rails Wii shooter Dead Space: Extraction.
