Rumour: DSi US Launch Date Revealed?

Multiple sources are claiming that the launch date and price for the DSi over the pond has now been revealed. Jump inside for the rumoured launch details.

The successor to the DS Lite that launched in November last year in Japan which includes an SD Card slot, two in-built cameras and its very own software download service, DSiWare, is said to finally have a release date. With the launch of the DSi being said to launch sometime in 2009 after Q1 outside of Japan due to the DS Lite still selling well in the US and Europe, resulting in very little reason to launch the successor, sources are now claiming that the DSi will launch in America on the 4th April, retailing for $179.99, $50 more than the previous model.

It's also being said that the DSi will in fact market along with the DS Lite, thus satisfying the core gamer with the DSi and casual with the DS Lite. Nintendo were contacted to comment on these launch details, but gave their usual "no comment" on rumours and speculation.
