Rumour: First Revolution Advert?

A dubious Revolution advert has hit the web. Could this be the first glimpse into Nintendo's next-gen advertising campaign?

The advert has supposedly been leaked from the depths of Nintendo's marketing labs and hit the net today. Probably the most interesting thing is that it suggests a March 2006 launch date for Revolution.

The lead line is "think outside the box", which reaffirms the console's promise of unique gaming, and perhaps even accentuates Nintendo's wish for gamers not to get caught up in the hype surrounding Microsoft's new 'box'.

The advert was sent anonymously to the Ninty blog Infendo by someone claiming to work for Nintendo's marketing department. If this is the real deal, the way it's now made its way on to the web so far in advance is sure to make a frustrated marketing team rip it up and start from scratch.

Nintendo representative could not give details for the advert's origin, only stating, "as far as we're aware it has no link with Nintendo".

Real or not? What are your thoughts?
