Rumour: Four Stars Equal One Wii Point?

Reports hit the Internet that the conversion rate from Star Points to Wii Points could be at a ratio of 4:1.
Nintendo of Europe have been very secretive on the Stars points front. It was previously reported that VIP Stars points could be exchanged for Wii points, although it was currently not known how this 'exchange' would take place.
According to ConsoleWars.de and DS-x2, a German magazine named N-Zone has reported that VIP Stars from Nintendo Europe's online rewards programme will be available to exchange for Wii Points at an exchange rate of 4 to 1. That's 4 stars for 1 Wii Point.
Of course, this is just a rumour at this point, but we're hoping that Nintendo of Europe will officially make a statement about this soon. However, Nintendo have reportedly added a change to the small print on stars, stating that twelve months after stars have been awarded by registering a product or filling in a survey, they must be redeemed or face the big black hole. That's right, you'll lose the stars after twelve months. Stars that are already in your possession must be redeemed before the end of 2007 - so even if you thought about saving up for something huge, don't wait around all year!
