Edge brings us news that Nintendo are planning to allow you to play old Game Boy titles on the DS...

Nintendo will be expanding the Virtual Console service to the DS, according to British magazine Edge.

Nintendo will release an official DS flash card which will store Game Boy and Game Boy Colour games and the reader will include software to emulate the two platforms. The flash card will be exclusively for the Game Boy titles, however a future update to run new games (similar to WiiWare) isn't out of the question.

There is no news on a date, price or how we will purchase the games. Either the flash card reader will include a "DS Shop Channel" or we will use the Wii Shop Channel to purchase the games.
