The much rumoured game, Kid Icarus, was apparently supposed to have been released last year. Details inside.
Kid Icarus is the game that gamers question if it even truely exists. Rumoured to be in development by Factor5 and to be shown at last years E3, is now being said that it was apparently supposed to have been be released last year. Now it's being reported by inside sources that Kid Icarus was supposed to be presented at E3 2008, but this fell through due to Factor5 having 'problems'.
There's no denying that last years E3 lacked and that there was very little for the core gamer to be excited by. Perhaps this was because Kid Icarus was to fill the dark empty void, but got delayed due to these problems and causing Nintendo to be upset.
And last Christmas lacked 1st party games, considering all gamers had from Nintendo was Animal Crossing and Wii Music which didn't please too many gamers due to 2006 having The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and 2007 having Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy. This could be because Kid Icarus was supposed to have been released last year, a few months after E3. We also now know the financial troubles Factor5 had causing it to close it's doors at the end of last year.
While this does make some sense surrounding the Kid Icarus rumours, remember all we have is the words of an unnamed insider source and this could have been easily made up to string the rumours together, if only these 'troubles' were reported before E3, giving this rumour more credibility.
