Rumour: Latest 'Wii 2' Reports - GTA V For Launch

Head inside to amuse yourself with the latest batch of ker-azy rumours surrounding Nintendo's next home console...
The internet must be bored; these Wii 2 rumours seem to be generating themselves now. The latest juicy one stems from 01net again (via Gamekyo), and almost makes us certain that someone is just sat down making this stuff up.
Apparently, one of the headline companies working on 'Project Café' (which by this point seems to be the unofficial official codename for the unannounced console that hasn't had an officially announced codename yet) is Rockstar, who allegedly are already in possession of developer kits.
The tragically anonymous sources go on to report that none other than Grand Theft Auto V is in development for the system, and would likely release on Xbox 360 and PS3 as well. Apparently the game is attempted to be ready for the console's launch, said to be late 2012 for western territories, but will for some reason be ready to release in Japan as early as June.
And yes, you guessed it, we can all expect announcements, videos and tech demos this E3, which would surely fly in the face of several big Wii games from Nintendo themselves yet to arrive, including The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Dragon Quest X, Xenoblade Chronicles and/or The Last Story. But hey, who are we to be party poopers?

Update: Some clarification has been gently offered by the original source of the rumour. 01net - originally cited as the source of the rumour - have moved to distance themselves from any possibility of GTA V, contacting Games.on.net with the following statement.
"We did publish a story on Monday about Rockstar, but to say that the British studio already have a devkit. Nothing more. We have absolutely no idea about whether or not a GTA V is planned on Wii 2, nor if Rockstar is willing to have a launch title. "
So as it stands, any reports of Grand Theft Auto V for a Nintendo console are groundless.
