Rumour: Latest Wii Rumors from EGM

Luigi's Mansion headed to Wii? Bundled Virtual Console games?

The latest edition in the popular magazine has listed down two Nintendo-related rumors. The rumors in question are that a sequel to Luigi's Mansion on the Gamecube is already in the works for Wii. The other rumor is that Virtual Console titles may be bundled with certain games.

Although these two pieces of information are just rumors at this point, could they be true? Are EGM onto something?

Well, let's take a look at the rumors in question. Luigi's Mansion for the Gamecube was a launch title, and a very short one at that. However, the game more or less acted like a 'tech demo', showing off the power of the Gamecube. During Nintendo's TGS 2005 speech, where the Wii's controller was revealed, we can see some footage in the teaser where two gamers appear to be playing a game, using the Wii-mote as a flashlight and the analogue attachment as movement.

Could this be a hint at another Luigi's Mansion title? Possibly. Who knows what the future may hold for Luigi?

Now, let's take a look at the second rumor: Bundled Virtual Console games.

It could be a smart move from Nintendo to include some Virtual Console titles when you buy a Wii at launch. Also, maybe buying a title such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl will come bundled with a copy of the N64 version? Again, these are just ideas. We're not saying that this is the way they're going to be, as we don't know what Nintendo have planned, yet.

Whether these rumors are false, or if they are visions of what are to come from Nintendo, you can be sure to check back here on any updates that may follow.
