Rumour: Metroid Prime 3

According to a staff member at IGN, we might not have to wait long for the next Metroid title.
An interesting rumour has popped up that does seem pretty believable. Matt from IGN Cube has posted on the forums there that Retro Studios are already developing the next Metroid Prime game, although he confessed he didn't know which system the game would end up on.
Theoretically, it could still be a late Cube game as the Revolution supposedly won't launch until mid-2006. Alternatively, Nintendo may want to keep it as a strong Revolution launch title.
Retro have not given away anything so far on what they have been working on in the six months since Metroid Prime: Echoes hit the stores, but with the popularity of the last two titles in the series a third in development is surely a likely and welcome possibility.
