Rumour: Modern Warfare 3 Heading to Wii/DS

Could Nintendo console's be in on the next Modern Warfare title from day one?
Nintendo consoles have had a bit of an odd relationship with Activision's humongous Call of Duty franchise this generation. While the DS usually receives technically impressive handheld versions of the FPS games courtesy of n-Space, the Wii has had a more mixed history. While the Treyarch-developed Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops hit Nintendo's little white box alongside other versions, the Infinity Ward-developed games are a different story.
Call of Duty 2 was a PC and Xbox 360-exclusive, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare only received a Wii port two years after its original HD release (itself handled by Treyarch), and the 2009 smash Modern Warfare 2 never saw the light of day on Nintendo's home system. Things though might be about to change.
CVG have noted that the official website of Modern Warfare 3 temporarily (or so it is alleged) listed the Wii and DS alongside the usual PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms. Every Call of Duty Wii iteration is commercially successful, so it is not unusual for the console to receive another game. But it would be the first time Wii owners receive a Modern Warfare game at the same time as HD systems (providing it ships later this year).
The debut teaser trailer for Modern Warfare 3 is expected to be aired tonight, although that doesn't necessarily mean final platforms will be revealed, so stay tuned.
