Is another version of the hugely popular handheld going to hit Japan next year?

Rumours are surfacing that Nintendo are planning to release another version of the Nintendo DS system in Japan sometime next year.

Not much is known about this possible new reiteration of the handheld, other than the fact the screens may be increased in size.

Can the system get any smaller? We're not sure. However, we can't wait to find out whether or not there is any substance to this.
