Konami teases the next game in the Metal Gear series. Could it be headed for Wii?

Long time Nintendo fans will likely have fond memories of the Metal Gear games. Both originals made appearances on the NES, and Gamecube saw an excellent reimagination of the revolutionary PSone title Metal Gear Solid.

Since then unfortunately, the series has had its roots firmly buried in the PlayStation brand. But that could be about to change. A teaser image has popped up on Konami's official website full of cryptic clues regarding the next title in the Metal Gear juggernaut.

Fans are already rabid with speculation trying to decipher what exactly the image might mean. Some claim the power button suggests 360 as a platform, others merely guess it may be a continuation in the PSP Ac!d series of games.

But those "i"s seem too familiar to cast away this one as non-Nintendo-related...
