After the moderate success of NBA Jam EA Sports are rumoured to be bringing back NFL Blitz.

When EA acquired Midway they obtained the licenses to many classic sports game franchises. Recent rumours suggest that they may be following on from the success of NBA Jam by bringing back NFL Blitz.

There hasn't been a NFL Blitz title since 2003's NFL Blitz Pro on the GameCube, PS2 and Xbox, although the Blitz: The League series ramped up the violence and replaced the NFL teams with fictional ones.

According to Kotaku EA's Tiburon studio is apparently working on a new title in the series. However, when asked EA refused to comment on the issue.
