Rumours are swirling that Nintendo of America may be moving their base camp...

According to Game Informer, their sources have leaked information that Nintendo may move their massive headquarters from Washington later this year. New locations apparently on the suggestions list include San Francisco and New York, where the firm was initially created in 1982, before moving to Redmond, Washington after just two years.

Its unclear at the moment if this includes just the sales and marketing section of the company or the entire company, which houses numerous divisions, including (according to Game Informer): localisation, the Treehouse, testing, customer service, events and planning, human resources, the Nintendo Power magazine, North American product warehouses, and a manufacturing plant just outside of the city.

Allegedly some employees at the company, many of whom have worked their since it opened, have been told they must decide whether to relocate or accept a severance package. We'll bring you more on this as it breaks.
