We've been hearing rumours the DS is to see a price cut in Europe to coincide with the launch of Nintendogs and the new system colours!

The news over at German site G-Freaks is that Nintendo Europe are all ready to slash the price of a DS by �20 when the company's massively popular puppy sim hits the shelves. Presumably, this would also apply to the new Pink and Blue colours hitting the shops on the same date.

The price cut, the release of Nintendogs and two new colours would surely be a mighty combination to combat the PSP's sales as the initial sales rush fades.

No official word has been heard so far, so we're labelling this as rumour until we hear otherwise. We'll keep you posted.
