Apparently a proposal from Hiroshi Yamauchi will present a plan this October to suggest Nintendo further themselves and possible revenue with a new venture into the world of Anime?

The original document is in Japanese and appears on the The Nikkei website. It appears that Nintendo are looking for new ways to expand their revenue possibilities by creating Anime based on their current game characters and possibly new original characters.

What isn't clear at present is the scale of production Nintendo be involved in and whether this would be done all in house or through Bandai. As we know Nintendo have been purchasing stock in Bandai a company well known for its Anime productions. Which all suggests that Hiroshi Yamauchi plan would be true. Only time will tell and maybe we can all look forward to Anime productions based on Nintendo characters.
