A ratings issue is reportedly the cause of Phoenix Wright 3's immensely long delay in Europe...

Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations still isn't out in Europe, in case you didn't notice. We thought we smelled a rat when Capcom went ahead and released Apollo Justice before a release date had even been announced for its predecessor, and now it's looking very likely that Europe won't be seeing the game at all.

Capcom and Nintendo have allegedly canned the DS title's release due to an issue with the PEGI rating system: the game was rated 16+ for a more 'mature' audience, whilst the rest of Mr. Wright's courtroom capers received 12+ ratings and were generally suitable for younger players.

Until an official statement is made by either Capcom or Nintendo about the matter, we can only sit about and complain. Stick with N-Europe for the latest developments.
