With Microsoft set to slash the price of the Xbox to under �100, there have been rumours that Sony and Nintendo are to follow suit.

After Microsoft announced the price cut, Sony is now also set to lower the price of the PS2 in the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, everyone's favourite marketing director David Gosen has stated that Nintendo will 'remain competitive' so price cuts seem likely, especially with Xmas coming up.

We might see GameCube at �79.99 by the end of the year, depending on how 'competitive' Nintendo really are...
