Bejewelled RPG set for release on Wii?

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords has been a major hit on both DS and PSP since its release earlier this year, its low price point and interesting gameplay has caused many people to take the plunge.

Puzzle Quest takes the casual game Bejewelled and turns it on its head. Adding a traditional RPG styled game to the mix, has helped reinvigorate a game that previously has been seen as little more than a desktop time filler or mobile game. Think Final Fantasy but then replace the turn based battles with a match the coloured tiles Bejewelled type game. These games however have a twist further as you can invoke spells and special moves that affect the way the tiles lay.

This is of course just a rumour at present with the source being a recently added page on the US Amazon site with a boxart included, it is listed as having a release date of September 25, 2007, hopefully a formal press release will follow this news soon.

If released at the correct price (it is listed as a budget $29.99 on Amazon.com) this game is a sure fire hit, appealing to both the more casual and the furiously hardcore Wii owners. Still unsure whether you'd enjoy it? Check out the official site (link below) for a free PC demo of the game.
