An interesting (and very possibly false) rumour is going round that the Revolution has now "gone gold" and will launch in May...

As many readers may know, when a game "goes gold", it means it has finished development and is ready to be mass manufactured for sale. According to some news sources, the Japanese magazine Dengeki has stated the Revolution has now done just this - and what's more, the magazine claims the console get a launch in April/May.

This conflicts with everything we've been hearing about a release date in the second half of the year - notably various comments made by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, and the news from NGC magazine last week, not to mention how an unveiling at E3 would work if the console was coming out the same month, but it's an intriguing rumour anyway. We'll keep you posted if it develops further.
