Rumour: Rocket Knight Adventures To Return?

Konami could be planning to bring back the classic action-platformer...

According to a report in German magazine M! Games, Climax Studios are working on a revival of the much-loved Rocket Knight Adventures series. The Konami platformer originally released on Sega's Mega Drive in 1993, and whose success brought about a sequel and SNES spin-off Sparkster.

It's been common knowledge for a while that Climax are developing two games for Wii and PSP. With one of those being the superb-looking Silent Hill: Shaterred Memories, should this rumour be true, it would mean a Rocket Knight Adventures game would come to Wii. The rumour also states the game will remain true to its roots and be a '2.D' platformer instead of a 3D adventure game.
