Rumour: Suda's Horror Title Not Wii-Bound?

Is Suda, Mikami and EA's innovative horror title set to shun Wii owners?

You may remember the collaboration between Goichi "No More Heroes" Suda, Shinji "Resident Evil" Mikami and EA when it was first announced the best part of two years ago. All that was revealed was that the game in production was a horror title that EA was hoping to do major penetration with in the west, or something along those lines. What was particularly interesting about the title was that it was announced for Wii, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, with the game apparently coming to Nintendo's little white box on the same terms as the HD consoles.

Maybe it seemed a little too good to be true, and we definitely got that feeling when we found out Silent Hill maestro Akira Yamaoka would be composing the soundtrack. Speaking Eurogamer, to EA Partners boss David DeMartini only confirmed that the game was coming to Xbox 360 and PS3.

While not a strict denial for Wii owners - and maybe that answer came from the way a certain question was phrased - it may be wise to start winding expectations down for what was admittedly an abnormally hopeful project, even if Suda-san had long-maintained the game was still heading for Wii.

Both EA and Suda are hopeful of the game being finally unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show, so keep it locked to N-E next month for more info...
