Is a tilt sensor in the works for the popular handheld?

According to 1UP a tilt sensor-add on could be in the works for the NintendoDS. The add-on is reportedly taking the form of a gameboy advance cartridge, which houses the sensor.

The add-on will allow players to register movements by tilting the handheld, much like Wario Ware Twisted. Although, there has been some trouble bringing that title to Europe, due to a clashing with European Regulations. If Nintendo do release an add-on for the DS such as this, we can only hope that they have resolved this problem.

1UP is also reporting that one of the first titles in the works to use this add-on will be Tony Hawks Downhill Jam and that Nintendo will show off this add-on at Leipzig. The stage is set for Nintendo to reveal all.
