Rumour: Wii Budget Titles Coming Soon

According to American retailers a budget range of Wii titles will be coming out soon.

Five years after its launch it seems the Wii may finally get a budget priced range if American retailers are to be believed. Kotaku report that retail sources have informed them that a new range of $19.99 budget titles will hit American shelves later this month.

The range, known as 'Wii Select' according to retailers, will be similar to the GameCube's Player's Choice range. According to the report the first three titles that will see a price drop are Mario Super Sluggers, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Interestingly the report also indicates that Wii Sports will begin to be sold separately, at a budget price, and Wii consoles will be bundled with Mario Kart Wii.

We will have to wait for an official word from Nintendo as to whether it is true and if it will be released in Europe. In the mean time let us know which Wii titles you think should have a price cut.
