A few observant Nintendo fans noticed something rather peculiar on the Nintendo UK website; 'Wii Mini' was included on the drop down menu. This was then also spotted among various European Nintendo sites before it was swiftly removed.

Is this merely a mistake or an inidcation that NOE have a mini announcement planned for us?

The Wii Mini released late last year exclusively in Canada and whilst us Europeans were initially jealous, the more we learnt about the console, the less excited we were. 

Boasting a much lower price and new design, the Wii Mini initially looks like quite an attractive offer but without GameCube functionality, an SD card slot and crucially, Wi-Fi, the console is ultimately missing far too many features to appeal to many gamers. 

Would NOE benefit from such a release? Or would it be a bad idea to introuduce another Wii branded console after the confusion of the release of Wii U?
