Could a sequel with online play be on the way?

There's no doubt that Wii Sports has been a massive hit with gamers and non-gamers alike. There's also no doubt that Nintendo are trying to expand in the online aspects of the videogame market, too.

Could a sequel to Wii Sports be on the cards, coupled with online play?

NGC France reports that a sequel may well be in development. They are also claiming that sports such as swimming, basketball, and even horse racing/riding could be included!

Although this should be treated as a rumour for now, is there a likely chance that a sequel will be announced soon?
