Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has provided the first tangible tease of the next instalment of the party-fighting franchise, tweeting a first-look of proceedings at the development studio.

The tease is a whiteboard drawing from the staff at Sora. Unfortunately, the drawing provides no hint of what new surprises to expect in the game, which is scheduled to hit both Wii U and 3DS.

However, the drawing does feature many of the characters that featured in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Could it be a confirmation of returning faces? Or is it just the team getting back into the Nintendo mood?

The game is not expected to release for quite some time. However, it has been revealed that studio Sora is working with members from Namco Bandai to speed up work on the title.
