Sega bringing 3D Space Harrier, more 3D remakes to eShop

It has been revealed that Sega will re-release a 3D version of much-loved on-rails shooter Space Harrier on the 3DS eShop.

The game will be based on the original 1985 arcade game, with added widescreen and stereoscopic 3D graphics - much in the same vein of Nintendo's '3D Classics', which saw several 3D remakes including Excitebike, Kid Icarus, and Xevious hit the store.

Not only that, but it is believed Sega are in the process of considering which other classic games in their stable could be released on the eShop in the same manner.

No date for 3D Space Harrier has been announced, but Japanese site gamer.ne.jp has the first screens.
