Shin'en announces FAST Racing NEO for Wii U

Whilst it had been known for some time that Shin'en Multimedia was working on a new Wii U project, it wasn't until today that the cult indie developer revealed what its latest game was.

Via a minimalistic teaser site comes the confirmation that FAST Racing NEO will be launching on Wii U sometime in 2014. The game is a follow-up to the 2011 WiiWare racer FAST Racing League, which was well-received and compared favourably to Nintendo's own F-Zero franchise.

No other details have been divulged, other than the allusion to "online features", so presumably the game will contain at least online leaderboards.

Shin'en is no stranger to the Wii U eShop, having previously released Nano Assault Neo.
