Well it seems that 2016 has now officially been and - Pokémon - gone with a nostalgic nod to the past thanks to the excellent Nintendo Classic Mini: NES along with the recent release of at least two mobile titles with one featuring Mario, plus a glimpse of the foreseeable future with the unveiling of the Nintendo Switch which will be releasing in March this year.

Thankfully there's plenty to look forward to before that though, a significant celebration for the site just around the corner, closely followed by the Switch presentation taking place in the very small hours of the morning of Friday 13th of January which will surely divulge more details; of course there will be the usual news, reviews and features which will be resuming soon.

Until then we at N-Europe would like to take this opportunity to wish all our visitors a very Happy New Year and all of best for 2017 which will surely be a year to remember for Nintendo.

If we've learned anything about the company over the years then above all else it's surely to never second-guess them, afterall this is a company which started out manufacturing Hanafuda playing cards over One Hundred and Twenty Seven years ago and have seemingly kept their hand close to their chest ever since in getting to where they are now.

Here's to 2017 which will hopefully be the year of the Switch and good fortunes to all.
