Publisher 505 Games has announced that it will be releasing Rebellion's Sniper Elite V2 on Wii U.

Sniper Elite V2 is a HD full remake of Rebellion's 2005 Xbox/PS2 title Sniper Elite - which itself received a Wii version in September 2010. Sniper Elite V2 released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC in May 2012.

In Sniper Elite V2, you take on the role of Karl Fairburne - an American OSS agent dropped into Berlin in the last days of World War Two. Your ultimate mission is to gain intelligence on and disrupt the German V-2 rocket program.

The game is not a traditional FPS. Rather, it is more a tactical shooter, requiring - like any sniper - patience and smart thinking. The Wii U version of Sniper Elite V2 leverages the Gamepad's screen to let you tag enemies and track their movements.

The game is due out in Europe this spring.
