Sonic celebrated his 32nd Birthday yesterday, on June 23rd, and in honour of such an occasion, SEGA released the latest in Sonics vast array of retro compilations, Sonic Origins Plus!

Sonic Origins Plus builds upon last years fantastic Sonic Origins, and adds new playable characters, 12 Game Gear titles and more! Here’s the official word from SEGA and the launch trailer:

Sonic Origins Plus features the four beloved classic titles in Sonic Origins – Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3 and Sonic CD – with remastered visuals, bonus characters, added modes and challenges, behind-the-scenes content and more while adding significant improvements. One of the more exciting new upgrades is the addition of 12 Sonic Game Gear titles, bringing a total of 16 classic Sonic titles together in one timeless collection. Now, players can experience fan-favorite games such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic Drift 2, Sonic Triple Trouble, Tails' Adventure, and more, which will all be emulated and playable in the museum.
