Available now across various UK stores is a peculiar transparent controller, housing a 3D figure of Sonic the Hedgehog!

This third-party controller isn’t wireless, and presumably lacks any rumble, unless Sonic and his desperate attempts to escape his plastic housing create some sort of motion in the pad.

The Sonic version is out now, and a Tails variant is due to release on October 13th, followed by a Knuckles controller on the 20th.

Wired headphones, also featuring a captured Sonic, release on October 20th too, which are branded as being for Nintendo Switch, but could most likely be used with other technology that still boasts a headphone jack.

The brand responsible for these bizarre accessories is PDP REALMz.

We can’t attest to the usability of the controllers, whether or not the joysticks are good and responsive, or if it has quality buttons. And as we previously said, it’s likely it doesn’t have rumble. It’s not wireless either. But you know what it does have? A Sonic the Hedgehog figure inside of it.
