Speculation: DS Game Card Details?

Nintendo so far have refused to announce any details on their Nintendo DS game carts, has the answer been discovered?

Matrix Semiconductor has begun shipping its memory chips in Japan. Using 3D layered transistor design denser memory at a cheap price can be produced. This is all well and good in general but it could be big news for Nintendo fans.

Two years ago Nintendo invested $15 million in Matrix, seeing the potential for Game Boy Advance technology. While Matrix's Vice President Dan Steere refuses to announce the company they have shipped to he did state they would use it in a read-only nature.

While it is all speculation at the moment it could mean that Nintendo plan to use these to store DS games on for a cheaper price. We will have to wait for an official word though.
