Splatoon 2 and ARMS events taking place during E3

E3 2017 is just less than two weeks away and rumours are already flying around, but one thing we know to be true is Nintendo will invite gamers from around the world to watch Splatoon 2 and ARMS events.

On Tuesday 13th June at 23:30 CEST (22:30 in the UK) gamers can take part in the Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational.  Teams from four different regions - 'Deadbeat' from the United States of America, 'Dynameu' from Japan, 'Rising Moon' from Europe and 'Blue Ringed Octolings' from Australia/New Zealand - who have competed against others in their region will play against each other.

A round-robin Tufin War tournament will pit each team against each other and in the next round the teams will battle in the Ranked Battle modes.  The semi-finals will be a best-of-five and the championship itself will be the best-of-seven.

The tournament will be live-streamed and announced by Jordan Kent, Ashley Esqueda and Eric Smith and the winners will get a Splatoon 2 trophy engraved with their names.

On Thursday 15th June at 00:30 CEST (Wednesday 14th June 23:30 in the UK) a live-streamed ARMS competition will take place where four expert competitve gamers from the fighting game community will battle against four E3 attendees.

The eight players will compete in order to win the ARMS Open Invitational championship belt.  The live-stream will be announced by D1 and VikkiKitty while the participants include Alex Valle (known for Street Fighter), Kelsy Medeiros a.k.a. SuperGirlKels, Daniel "Tafokints" Lee and Marie-Laure "Kayane" Norindr who are all known for Super Smarsh Bros.
