Nintendo has finally confirmed that Splatoon 2 will launch on the Nintendo Switch on July 21st, alongside three brand new amiibos.

The popular Wii U shooting game comings to Nintendo's newest console with some new weapons, as previously discussed, and a new 4-player horde mode called Salmon Run.

In Salmon Run you and your fellow Inklings must fend off Salmonoids, and the occasional Boss Salmonoid, while in the pursuit of Power Eggs and Golden Eggs, which can then be exchanged for currently unspecified loot.

As well as this Inkling Boy, Girl and Squid amiibo will be released which unlocks a photo mode in the game, allowing you to dress up, take photos and share them to currently-unspecified social media.

The amiibos can also store your preferred load-out and outfits on, meaning you can take this with you when visiting friends.

We expect more details will be released about Splatoon 2 before it launches on July 21st, especially as we've got an E3 before then!
