Three years ago, on the 21st of July 2017, Splatoon 2 released on the Nintendo Switch. During those years the game got updated quite frequently with new game modes, weapons, and the paid DLC Octo Expansion.
It went a bit quiet after the final Splatfest happened one year ago, when Team Order beat Team Chaos in the Splatocalypse. However, Nintendo has thrown in a bonus Splatfest, and has now announced that more bonus Splatfests are coming.
The first one is a rerun of the Chicken vs. Egg, and that will take place on 22/08 at 00:00 CEST and will last 48 hours. Further, two more bonus Splatfests will be arriving before the end of March 2021, keeping Splatoon 2 going a bit longer.
Finally, another pretty piece of artwork is shared in honour of the Splatoon 2 anniversay. You can view it below in all its glory.
