Splatoon is definitely one of the most unique Nintendo IP's released in recent years, the sequel has done reasonably well on the Switch and still seems to have a strong following.

If you've yet to check out the Third-Person (Ink) Shooter however, the free demo may well be of interest to you as it will let you try out the game for free from tomorrow for a full week which will grant you access to some of the online modes (providing you have Nintendo Switch Online) and the game will be discounted by a third until May 10th, 2020.

TRY THE SPLATOON 2 SPECIAL DEMO 2020 FOR FREE AND EXPERIENCE 4-ON-4 TURF WAR BATTLES AND MORE FROM 30^THAPRIL UNTIL 6^THMAY

29^thApril, 2020– If you’re not among the more than 9 million owners worldwide to have participated in numerous Turf War battles and Splatfests in Splatoon 2 for Nintendo Switch, swim over to the Nintendo eShop onNintendo Switchtoday to download the Splatoon 2 Special Demo 2020, then get ready to claim your turf from Thursday, 30^th April at 12:00 CEST until Wednesday, 6^th May at 23:59 CEST. Before diving into the world of Splatoon 2, newcomers can check out the Splatoon 2 Direct videoas it includes details about the modes, weapons and styles in the game.

During the demo event, players will be able to jump online and splat it out in 4-on-4 Turf War battles with friends and other players who own the full game. Players can also try out Ranked Battles and the Salmon Run co-op mode. Not only will players have the chance to splat their hearts out during the demo period, they can also activate a seven-day free trial for Nintendo Switch Online. To activate the free trial, players should visit Nintendo eShop on their Nintendo Switch console and go to the ‘Nintendo Switch Online’ section to get started.

Players will also be able to save 33% onSplatoon 2until Sunday, 10^th May at 23:59 local time, so you can keep on splatting. The progress players make during the demo event will even carry over to the full game, once purchased. Players can also save 25% on the Splatoon 2 + Octo Expansion digital bundle. And until 10^th May, Splatoon fans can save 33% on all Splatoon phone cases from the Nintendo Official UK Store while stocks last.

Last but not least inSplatoon 2news: We’re revisiting the clash of the condiments for a bonus Mayo vs. Ketchup Splatfest! Make your choice and join in this online event from Saturday, 23^rd May at 00:00 CEST until Sunday, 24^th May 23:59 CEST. And just as a reminder, Team Mayo took the crown the first time. We’ll see if Team Ketchup can ketch-up this time around!
