Nintendo has teamed up with Nickelodeon to offer a unique chance for Splatoon players to choose between SpongeBob Squarepants SpongeBob and Patrick next weekend.

Between 15:00 CEST (14:00 in the UK) on Saturday 23rd April and 21:00 CEST (20:00 in the UK) on Sunday 24th April, European and North American gamers will be able to engage in a Splatfest event that pits SpongeBob Squarepants beloved SpongeBob and Patrick against each other.  The result from both territories will produce one final outcome that decides which of the characters is the best.

In the press release Nintendo gave an update on Splatoon's figures; the game has now sold over one million copies in Europe and over four million worldwide.  So it's best you brush up on your skills as there's plenty of competition out there!
