Square Enix Press Conference Roundup
Posted 11 Jun 2019 at 10:32 by Sam C Gittins
Square Enix had their E3 2019 press conference last night where there was music, fan favourite announcements across many platforms with more than a few titles coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Now obviously I don't need to tell you that we aren't getting Final Fantasy Remake (though I wouldn't say no!) but what we are getting is a good amount of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and the "rest" by which I mean some of the best RPG's we could hope for plus a couple of other genres as well.
Here's the list of what was shown/announced for the Switch...
- Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition (Winter 2019)
- Final Fantasy VIII Remastered (2019)
- Dragon Quest Builders 2 (27th June 2019)
- Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition (Autumn 2019)
- The Last Remnant Remastered (Right now!)
- Romancing SaGa 3 (TBA)
- SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions (TBA)
- Oninaki (22nd August 2019)
- Circuit Superstars (2020)
Not a bad selection, I think you might agree? At least half of those titles we didn't know about, one of them was shadow-dropped (The Last Remnant) and we have release dates or at least a release window for most of these titles.

And just in case you wanted to see the whole conference for yourself or rewatch any of it... (potentially explicit language contained in some parts of the presentation)
What did you think? Was there at least one title out of those eight RPG's and single racing game that you'd be interested in on the Switch? Or are you still waiting for that Secret of Mana collection annoucement?
Let us know your thoughts in the comments section or join in with the discussion on our forum.
Thanks to GameXplain for having the Dragon Quest XI trailer available. (nowhere else seems to have it at this time of writing)
