Super Mario Maker and Splatoon nominated for BAFTAs

The nominees for the 2016 BAFTA British Academy Game Awards have been announced and two of Nintendo's titles have been nominated.

Super Mario Maker has been nominated in the Family category, while Splatoon takes home three nominations for Game Innovation, Multiplayer and Original Property.

Nintendo also announced yesterday that Splatoon has sold more than one million copies in Europe, with worldwide sales now reaching over 3.5 million, so it seems that it's not just the BAFTA panel that loves the game.  Both of these titles have recently received updates as well, so there's never been a better time to pick them up!

The winners will be announced on April 7th.  Be sure to check the BAFTA page, linked below, for all the category nominations.
