Super Metroid available on eShop this week as part of the 30 cents for 30 days offer

It's another busy week in the virtual Nintendo world, with another classic bargain in the form of Super Metroid and a bunch of other classics joining the bounty hunter for slightly less attractive prices.

Super Metroid (Wii U, Virtual Console, Super Nintendo) Nintendo eShop from 16/5/13 Special offer until 14/6/13 (23:59 CEST): €0.30 (£0.30)

Super Metroid rolls onto Wii U, as Samus Aran returns after space pirates snatch the last remaining Metroid.

New abilities such as the grappling beam and x-ray scope come into play in this title and help you navigate the vast labyrinths of planet Zebes.

This is often regarded as the best entry in the series and Samus never utters a word throughout the entire game.

This is the European version of the game, which was optimised originally by the developer to offer gameplay and music speed similar to the US version. Demos and animations may run at PAL speed. The aspect ratio has been corrected for this release.

Super Mario Bros. 2 (Wii U, Virtual Console, NES) Nintendo eShop from 16/5/13 - €4.99 (£3.49)

This is the Super Mario Bros. 2 you all know and love, the edited Doki Doki Panic which introduced us to such wonderful characters as Shy Guy and Birdo, as oppose to the nearly impossible 'Lost Levels' game.

Super Mario Bros. 2 is one of the more bizarre Mario titles, allowing you to play as the plumber himself, his brother Mr. Flappy Legs (or indeed, Luigi), Toad and Peach.

Each character controls slightly differently and it will be up to you to traverse the bizarre land filled with eerie music, many red doors and vegetables just waiting to be plucked out of the earth and smashed into the faces of masked victims.

Super Ghouls'n Ghosts (Wii U, Virtual Console, Super Nintendo) Nintendo eShop from 16/5/13 - €7.99 (£5.49)

This third title in the series follows Sir Arthur's quest through many lands to rescue the kidnapped princess. You'll be tasked with beating many creepy monsters along the way  and traversing land that constantly shifts and changes around you.

Mega Man 5 (Nintendo 3DS, Virtual Console, NES)Nintendo eShop from 16/5/13 - €4.99 (£4.49)

Assisted by your new sidekick Beat, a robotic bird and robo-dog Rush, the fifth entry in the Mega Man series has you battling thruogh eight levels and defeating the robot masters within.

The Starship Damrey (Nintendo 3DS) Nintendo eShop from 16/5/13 - €7.99 (£7.19)

The Starship Damrey has you awaken to discover that you are trapped in a Cold Sleep capsule with no memory of who you are. Providing no tutorials, explanations or hints, the title has been created with the intent that self-discovery and experimentation is vital to the experience.

Retro Pocket (Nintendo 3DS, DSiWare) Nintendo eShop from 16/5/13 - €4.99 (£4.49)

Retro Pocket brings back the days of LCD handhelds by featuring eight original LED-style games such as King Fu Hero, Whale Escape and Mind Your Head. Fans of the ever-popular Mr Game & Watch may be interested in this 3DS release.
