Keeping the momentum going following the first anniversay spirit event, the next tournament to be held on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is going back to the 1980's when many of the iconic characters featured in the game were first created during the height of the arcade scene and the emergence of early home consoles such as the NES.

The three day tournament takes place from Friday 13th December and in it you'll be able to pick from all of the characters featured in the smashing banner which has been created by Nintendo for this event.

Will you be smashing it up as Mr. Game & Watch? Perhaps the original power-pill munching Pac-Man will be your choice for chewing up the competition? Or will the original Nintendo heroine Samus Aran take out the entire stage in style?
