Super Smash Bros. Ultimate hosts a Zelda themed tournament, starting this Friday

The Legend of Zelda series is a classic example of a Nintendo IP which has been going strong for some decades now, with a whole host of recognisable characters such as the (mostly) silent protagonist known as "Link", the titular "Princess Zelda" and the Gerudo King "Ganondorf" to name the three which make up the physical embodiment of the Triforce in the games.

It should come as no surprise that Nintendo has seen fit to draw on this iconic franchise once again, especially as it has been hosting weekly tournaments for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for a considerable amount of time now, indeed, the game has been out for almost a year and a half now; plus it will still be getting more content in the form of additional characters for another year or so yet it would seem.

The latest tournament in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate titled "Triforce Tryouts" will be live this Friday 29th May, 2020, and lets you choose characters from The Legend of Zelda series, fighting battles which you'll be able to partake in for three days until the event ends.

Will you be fighting for Courage, Wisdom, Power or for your own reasons in this tournament? Are you going to be participating, or watching from the sidelines? Will good overcome evil once again? (we'd certainly like to think so)
