Nintendo of America has revealed that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has become the fastest-selling Wii U game following its first three days on shelves in the US.
The game surpassed 490,000 units sold between November 21st and 23rd, meaning it is selling at a faster rate than Mario Kart 8.
In comparison, Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo 3DS, which obviously launched to a much bigger install base, sold just over 700,000 units in its first two days. With combined sales, this generation of Smash Bros. will have surpassed several million, with the Wii U version not even out yet in Europe or Japan.
The game launches here on November 28th. Be sure to check out or must-read review for the low-down.
